Black and Spring Situation

So here is the story (behind this formal outfit):
I bought these heels online on a cold winter day, hoping that one day the sun would warm the air and I would bare my feet with a little velvet coverage. Then they spent months in my closet…
When the big day arrived I was trying on a blouse by Twist X Turn, the brand I discovered in London. I decided that this classy print with cool shape and statement sleeves would work perfectly with those shoes I’ve never worn before! So I called Ika and we went to shoot.
Initially, the outfit had no glasses. But somehow, these pink shades always find their way to make it in this and many other outfits lately because… why not?! I’m obsessed with them!

So here is how it all worked out together. I figured it was worth posting and hope you feel the same way!

#OOTD For London Fashion Week

London has been extremely kind to me in every means. Even the day of my flight back to Tbilisi I got an opportunity to recreate one of the looks I wore to the last day of LFW and shoot with very talented street style photographer Moeez Tali.

I came up with this look the morning before the Emilio De La Morena show and one of the reasons I wanted to share it with you is that it is really easy to pull off, super affordable  and can be worn to different occasions with just minimal transitions. The process was just like Leandra Medine (from Men Repeller) describes: taking all your favorite items and putting them all together! some of my biggest obsessions of this season are embroidery and corsets, so… here you go!

New Point of View

People travel the world and explore whats unusual and interesting for them. People tell stories about all of this through art. While some prefer to write and other to tell through images it’s clear that everyone has their own perception of same objects.

Today I am sharing with you myself from Sopo Papiashvili’s point of view. We couldn’t let her visit to Tbilisi pass without pointing her lens on me!
If you didn’t have the chance to check her exhibition, you should probably go here. BUT,meanwhile here I am!

Let me know what you think and keep an eye on my Instagram for more.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tbilisi

For the past couple of weeks Georgian fashion scene has been getting a lot of attention from the international press and fashion community. This time Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the one to blame! Georgian and several foreign designers presented their Spring/Summer 2017 collections during 5 fun and interesting days.

On November 3rd I grabbed my favorite bag from 711 and ran to MOMA to see more of this brand. The presentation transferred us to the Grand Budapest Hotel and stayed as the most popular and exciting location throughout all MBFW. The collection itself was accordingly as colorful and tasteful as the movie is.

Continuing on colors and knitwear LALO’s show was a definite MUST! Real Spring on the catwalk.

This time the collection was accompanied by super trendy shoes.

Another show that I loved was by ANOUKI. It was celebration of softness, pastels and feminine silhouettes. So down to earth, so wearable! And the shoes… If you already follow me on Instagram you probably know what I mean.

These pictures bellow show Diana Kvariani’s collection. Just several weeks before the fashion week I randomly walked in to her store in Tbilisi and realized how beautiful her creations were. And the quality… So, I was really looking forward for the show! Loved the prints and the shapes!

I have been obsessing over white color for the last two summers. Two designers that provided lots of white were Tatuna Nikolaishvili and Salomé. However, while Tatuna went bold on the shoe, in contrast with cool, monochrome looks, Salomé gave me more of a minimalistic vibe with enough doses of feminine silhouettes.

Tamuna Igorokva presented one of the classiest and the most elegant collections. Lots of formal, feminine and at the same time cool pieces with certain cool attitude…

Another example of beautiful combination of color, velvet and silk at Nino Babukhadia’s collection. Have been loving Fall/Winter collection so much, I was really looking forward for this one and it was totally worth it!

It is already a lot but in a reality its just a little part of what you could find at the fashion week. I would highly recommend checking such shows as George Keburia, Djaba Diasamidze, Dalood and Keti Chkhikvadze. I posted their finale videos on Instagram as well!

Still developing fashion industry in Georgia has a lot to learn and accomplish but all the talents concentrated in one small country is taking big steps forward. As for me, I will always be happy to see and show unique, new designers and collection!

img_3601Along with pumpkins, Halloween and colorful trees fashion is giving us another reason to love fall. Overload of inspiration from fashion capitals is followed by two (Tbilisi Fashion Week and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) fashion weeks in Tbilisi. Last week I attended Tbilisi Fashion Week showcasing collections for Spring/Summer 2017. The concept behind TFW is to present new upcoming talents and their designs to public. You could find designers that have become experienced members of TFW, new designers who showcased their collections for the first time and even foreign designers like Lara Quint.

TFW has been covered by such international publications as British Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, GQ and many more. However, in order to see the full information and every single look from the shows I recommend you click here.
