For the past couple of weeks Georgian fashion scene has been getting a lot of attention from the international press and fashion community. This time Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the one to blame! Georgian and several foreign designers presented their Spring/Summer 2017 collections during 5 fun and interesting days.
On November 3rd I grabbed my favorite bag from 711 and ran to MOMA to see more of this brand. The presentation transferred us to the Grand Budapest Hotel and stayed as the most popular and exciting location throughout all MBFW. The collection itself was accordingly as colorful and tasteful as the movie is.

Continuing on colors and knitwear LALO’s show was a definite MUST! Real Spring on the catwalk.

This time the collection was accompanied by super trendy shoes.

Another show that I loved was by ANOUKI. It was celebration of softness, pastels and feminine silhouettes. So down to earth, so wearable! And the shoes… If you already follow me on Instagram you probably know what I mean.

These pictures bellow show Diana Kvariani’s collection. Just several weeks before the fashion week I randomly walked in to her store in Tbilisi and realized how beautiful her creations were. And the quality… So, I was really looking forward for the show! Loved the prints and the shapes!

I have been obsessing over white color for the last two summers. Two designers that provided lots of white were Tatuna Nikolaishvili and Salomé. However, while Tatuna went bold on the shoe, in contrast with cool, monochrome looks, Salomé gave me more of a minimalistic vibe with enough doses of feminine silhouettes.

Tamuna Igorokva presented one of the classiest and the most elegant collections. Lots of formal, feminine and at the same time cool pieces with certain cool attitude…

Another example of beautiful combination of color, velvet and silk at Nino Babukhadia’s collection. Have been loving Fall/Winter collection so much, I was really looking forward for this one and it was totally worth it!

It is already a lot but in a reality its just a little part of what you could find at the fashion week. I would highly recommend checking such shows as George Keburia, Djaba Diasamidze, Dalood and Keti Chkhikvadze. I posted their finale videos on Instagram as well!
Still developing fashion industry in Georgia has a lot to learn and accomplish but all the talents concentrated in one small country is taking big steps forward. As for me, I will always be happy to see and show unique, new designers and collection!
